History

The Rahmat Rehabilitation Center of Bafq was initiated by the late philanthropist, Mr. Haj Mohammad Reza Rahmati Bafqi with the purpose of providing high quality and philanthropic services to the underprivileged patients with mental and physical disabilities with the help of the Bafq Welfare Organization and follow-up due actions were rapidly taken

Initially, a piece of land with a total area of 17000 square meters was allocated to the project by the Organization of Urban Land and construction started immediately. In the maps surveyed by the Bureau of Welfare, the construction issues were predicted as follows:
Phase 1: the facility is designed to take care of the patients with disabilities and it includes bedrooms, a drugstore, nurse station, children’s playroom, a physiotherapy room, doctor’s office, restrooms, yard, fences, landscape and green area and installation facility and security room. The project was completed with a total budget of 15,000,000,000 RLs and it was opened by the president of the National Welfare Organization and a number of other related authorities in June, 2017 and at the same time, the construction of the second phase was initiated. Currently, about 50 patients with mental and physical disabilities are under treatment at this facility. 50 more patients could be accepted to the facility if the necessary equipment and facilities are provided.
Phase 2: the plans of these phase are under revision and modification. The facility is planned to be constructed at an estimated cost of 20.000.000.000 RLs. This two-storey building is projected to include nursing facilities for the elderly with segregated canteens for male and female residents as well as kitchen, warehouse, cold storage, and laundry facilities.
The late philanthropist passed away in 2016 and the construction has been taken on and completed by his heirs.
The board of directors including a number of his heirs has been formed and it is expected to help accelerate the completion of the second phase and make use of full potentials with the help of authorities and philanthropic help. Therefore, per the promises of allocating 1,000,000,000 RLs of budget by the president of the National Welfare Organization, it is expected that the second phase will be completed in due time.
